Prepared with care. Participate with confidence.
Safety, Care & Rescue
Sporting and outdoor activities require preparation, suitable equipment, clear instructions and responsible participation.
Parents, schools and participants should understand an activity’s requirements and the support arrangements applicable to their programme before joining.
How we prepare
Before Participation
Review eligibility and share relevant information about health conditions, allergies, medication, accessibility needs and emergency contacts. Parent or guardian consent requirements will be explained for children’s programmes.
Activity Safety & Supervision
Programme information will explain participation and skill requirements; instruction and supervision arrangements; required protective equipment; briefing and conduct expectations; equipment and activity-area checks; and conditions that may require an activity to change or stop. Participants must follow instructions and use the equipment required for their activity.
Child & Participant Care
Programme and venue information will explain attendance, supervision, parent communication, authorised collection and how to raise a concern. Participants should be encouraged to speak up when they feel uncomfortable, need assistance or do not understand an instruction.
Health & Medical Support
Before booking, participants should receive clear information about the arrangements applicable to their programme, including first-aid provision, available medical support, emergency contacts, ambulance access or transport arrangements, hospital access and transfer procedures, and responsibilities concerning personal medication.
Emergency Response & Rescue
Emergency and rescue arrangements should explain how an incident is reported, who coordinates the response, how participants are accounted for and how emergency contacts are informed. Venue-specific information should identify access routes and assembly points.
Fire Safety
Camping, accommodation and event arrangements should identify applicable fire precautions, equipment, exit routes and assembly areas. Participants must follow instructions concerning flames, cooking, electrical equipment and restricted areas.
Weather & Contingency Plans
Heat, rain, storms, terrain conditions or operational concerns may require activities to change, pause or stop. Communication, postponement and cancellation procedures will be explained with the applicable booking terms.
